My friend J.C. put me on to the book Two Wheels South, which is a nonfiction account of two friends who ride vintage motorcycles from Brooklyn to the southern tip of South America. Matias Corea, author of the book, says this at the end of his journey:
“The recipe for adventure is simpler than I ever thought it could be. The only thing you have to do is take it one day at a time, one mile at a time. The mile ahead of you is the only one that matters in that moment, and getting through the day is the only thing to accomplish. … I am a different person now that I get to tell my story from the other side. The other side of struggle, the other side of fear, the other side of growth.”
